Strategy-Proof
A property of a mechanism: every participant has truth-telling as a (weakly) dominant strategy. Synonymous with Truthful Mechanism. Strategy-proofness eliminates the counterspeculation burden — agents need not model each other’s beliefs and strategies to play optimally. A particularly desirable design property because it collapses the theory-of-mind regress: with strategy-proof mechanisms, level-1 reasoning suffices.
