Preferred Extension

In an Argumentation Framework, a maximal (with respect to set inclusion) admissible set — a most-permissive coherent position. Multiple preferred extensions can exist; they correspond to credulous acceptance (an argument is credulously accepted iff it appears in some preferred extension). Computational complexity is higher than for the Grounded Extension (Π₂ᵖ-complete for credulous acceptance).
