Feasibility Precondition

In the FIPA-ACL / Cohen–Levesque semantics of communicative acts, the condition that must hold for an agent to sincerely perform a speech act — paired with the rational effect, the result the agent intends to bring about. For an inform, the feasibility precondition requires (roughly) that the sender believes the proposition and believes the receiver does not already hold a view on it. The FP/RE pair is the core of Mentalistic Semantics.
