Shared Cooperative Activity

Bratman’s (1992) philosophical analysis of joint cooperative action: SCA requires (1) mutual responsiveness to the other’s intentions and actions, (2) commitment to the joint activity itself, (3) commitment to mutual support should the other be unable to perform their part. Each agent’s intentions are recursively nested in the other’s. Distinguishes genuine cooperation from coincident individually-rational action; foundation of joint-intention models in MAS.
