Mutual Responsiveness

The first of Bratman’s three conditions for Shared Cooperative Activity: each participant in joint action is responsive to the intentions and actions of the other(s) — adjusting their own behaviour as the other’s behaviour unfolds rather than executing a fixed sub-plan in isolation. Operationally distinguishes cooperative joint action from parallel-but-non-interactive execution.
